Interview and personality development

Six weeks of recorded mock interviews, group discussion and body language, for the stage most candidates never practise.

Interview and personality development

The stage where preparation usually stops, and shouldn't

A candidate spends a year on the written paper, clears it, and then walks into an interview room having practised for it precisely never. They know the syllabus cold. They have not once said any of it out loud to a stranger who is assessing them.

This is the gap this course exists to close, and it is the reason WINGS teaches interviews at all. An institute that began as an English speaking class is well placed to handle the stage where everything depends on speaking.

Who this is for

Three kinds of people take this course

Exam candidates with a board ahead

Banking PO, JPSC, SSC document verification and the police interview. You have cleared the written stage and have a few weeks to get ready for a conversation you cannot revise for.

Job seekers in the private sector

Where the interview is the entire selection process and there is no written paper to hide behind.

People already working

Promotion interviews, client meetings, and the ordinary professional situation of having to be articulate on demand.

How a mock interview runs here

Six weeks, and you sit the chair repeatedly

Reading a list of common questions teaches nothing. Being asked them, unprepared, by somebody who then tells you exactly what went wrong, teaches a great deal.

  • A real panel, not a chatTwo or three people across a table, in the format your actual board uses, with the same silences.
  • Questions from your own formBoards interview your application. Your district, your degree subject, your gap year, your hobby. We build the questions from your form, as they will.
  • Recorded, then watched togetherMost habits are invisible from the inside. Watching yourself for ten minutes corrects more than an hour of advice.
  • Repeated until it is dullEvery student sits several mock interviews across the six weeks. The nerves go because the situation stops being novel.

What else the six weeks covers

  • Group discussion. Entering a discussion without shouting, disagreeing without being rude, and being the person who summarises at the end, which is what gets noticed.
  • Body language. How you enter a room, what you do with your hands, eye contact across a panel rather than at one friendly face, and sitting in a way that does not read as apology.
  • The predictable questions. Tell us about yourself. Why this service. Your weakness. Why the gap. These come up nearly every time and there is a right way to prepare them without sounding memorised.
  • Your district and your state. Boards ask about where you are from. A candidate from Hazaribag who cannot discuss Hazaribag makes a poor impression, so this gets its own session.
  • Saying you do not know. An underrated skill. Boards respect a straight admission far more than a confident invention, and most candidates have never practised the phrase.

Free for enrolled students. If you are studying in any WINGS government exam batch, interview preparation is included once your result is out. You do not pay twice. This page is for candidates preparing elsewhere or on their own.

Fee and timing

Six weeks at Rs 3,500, three days a week, so it fits alongside a job or a final stretch of exam preparation. Taken standalone. If your English is the underlying problem rather than your nerves, the Advanced Fluency course is the better starting point and we will say so honestly at the demo class.

Sit one mock interview and see

A single mock interview usually tells a candidate more about their gaps than a month of reading. Come and sit one.

Interview and personality questions

My interview is in three weeks. Is that enough time?

It is enough to make a real difference, because most of the gain comes from simply sitting the chair repeatedly. Tell us your date and we will fit as many mock interviews around it as the weeks allow.

Is the mock interview conducted in English?

For most boards, yes, and that is deliberate. For state interviews conducted in Hindi we run it in Hindi. Tell us which board you face and we will match it.

I know my subject but I go blank when asked. Will this help?

That is the most common reason people take this course. Going blank is a response to novelty, and the only cure is repetition until the situation feels ordinary. It is exactly what six weeks of mock interviews does.

Do you cover group discussion for private company selection?

Yes. Group discussion sessions run every week and the format is close enough that it prepares you for both government and private selection.

Is this useful if I am not preparing for any exam?

Yes. A good share of students here are working people preparing for a promotion interview or simply wanting to be more articulate in meetings. The course does not assume you are an exam candidate.
