SSC and Banking are taught identically in every city in India. JSSC CGL is not. A large share of this paper is Jharkhand, and no coaching institute sitting in Delhi has any particular reason to know the difference between the Tana Bhagat movement and the Kol uprising, or which district the Damodar actually rises in.

Hindi and English, qualifying only. You must score the minimum, and the marks do not go into your merit. Candidates who over prepare this paper are spending time they needed elsewhere.
A regional or tribal language such as Hindi, Urdu, Santhali, Ho, Mundari, Kurukh, Nagpuri, Khortha, Panch Parganiya, Bangla or Odia. Also qualifying, and the choice deserves thought.
This one decides your rank. General knowledge, Jharkhand specific knowledge, mathematics, reasoning and computer awareness. Everything else is a gate. This is the exam.
Where the strategy goes wrong. Most candidates split their time evenly across three papers. The right split is to secure the qualifying marks in Papers 1 and 2 early, then put almost everything into Paper 3, because that is the only paper that produces a rank.

Choosing your regional language paper. Pick the language you genuinely read and write, not the one you believe is scored leniently. Every year candidates choose a tribal language they have only spoken at home, discover the written paper is a different matter, and fail a qualifying paper they should have walked through.

For reserved category seats and for the regional language paper, local residence rules apply. General category candidates from outside the state can apply for the unreserved seats. Check the exact wording of the current notification, and bring it to the office if you are unsure.
The one you can actually read and write. Hindi is chosen by most candidates for good reason. A tribal language is a sound choice only if you studied it formally, not merely because it is spoken at home.
The questions are generally less difficult, but the competition is concentrated and the vacancies are fewer. What genuinely improves your odds is that most of the country is not competing for these posts, and that the Jharkhand section rewards local preparation that outsiders will not do.
Yes, and many students here do. Maths and reasoning are shared almost entirely. What JSSC adds is the Jharkhand section and the language papers, so it is closer to an addition than a separate course.
Yes. The general studies and Jharkhand material is common to JSSC JE, the excise constable papers and the other commission exams, so students preparing for those sit in the same batch and take the relevant extra material.
